In class we have inoculated agar plates with micro-organisms. Below is a link to a video that shows you once again how it is done.

Some key things to remember about growing bacteria...
  1. Always tape the Petrie dish shut.
  2. Store the Petrie dish upside down to avoid to much water dripping on the agar.
  3. Never incubate the plates at 37 degrees Celsius, because that is human body temperature and there is a risk of growing human pathogens.
